It is easy to form brittle Mg2Si in the weld during welding, which reduces the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the joint, so the wire is generally not used for welding aluminum-magnesium alloy. The melting temperature of ER4043 ranges from 1065-1170oF, the color after anodization is off-white, and the low tensile strength is 186MP.
