1.ER4043 aluminum welding wire introduction

ER4043 is a silicon-containing 5% aluminum-silicon alloy wire, also known as S311. It has good fluidity and is used for welding forged and cast materials because of its weak sensitivity to hot cracks. It is also used as a filling material for argon arc welding and brazing of aluminum alloy workpieces and castings other than aluminum-magnesium alloys. It is easy to form brittle Mg2Si in the weld during welding, which reduces the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the joint, so the wire is generally not used for welding aluminum-magnesium alloy. The welding is beautiful and the sightseeing is bright, the arc is stable, and the splash is small, but the color is different from the base material after the anodizing treatment.

The melting temperature of ER4043 ranges from 1065-1170oF, the color after anodization is off-white, and the low tensile strength is 186MP.

4. ER4043 aluminum welding wire welding method and use

Use of ER4043 aluminum welding wire: used for welding of 6601 series aluminum alloy, 3XXX series and 2XXX series aluminum alloy and cast aluminum. Widely used in ships, locomotives, chemicals, food, sports equipment, molds, furniture, containers, containers.
